Care

When washing, use a gentle cycle, with COOL water. If your washing machine does not have a COOL setting, use the COLD setting. Close all zippers and make sure pockets are empty.

We recommend using a free and clear detergent or a detergent specifically designed for technical garments. Traditional detergents, particularly powdered detergents can leave residues that can negatively affect the performance of your garment. Avoid all products with fabric softeners or bleach. Grangers Performance Wash is a great option.

Avoid excessive heat. Seam tape can fall apart in a dryer, and it is not a pretty sight. Excessive heat (even a car dashboard in the summer) can also cause multi-layered waterproof fabrics to delaminate.

The quality is wonderful. I ordered the XL based on the chest measurements listed, and it is way too big, even over a bulky sweater. I'll keep it because I have worn it, but I wish the measurement recommendations were a bit more accurate.

Not sure what is going on with the sizing of this jacket. My wife has been wearing Showers Pass rain jackets for over 10 years. This jacket is at least three inches wider in the body and and inch longer in the arms than her two previous jackets marked the same size. Quality is hig as always but new sizing is way off.

The jacket fits well, has reflective stips that are not obnoctious, but helpful. The color is wonderful, not a bright eyeball shattering color, it's a beautiful warm yellow/sunflower yellow. I modeled it for several friends and they wanted to know where I purchased it.

Great quality! Good fit even with my long arms.

The jacket was nice, good quality but there was no hood and I was unable to match the color

I have been wearing Showers Pass rain jackets for years. I bought this jacket with all confidence that it would fit and keep me dry. It fits perfectly (5'3" and 110 lbs) and so far every time I have worn the jacket it hasn't rained! Is that awesome or what? I love the visibility of the yellow.

Pros: effectively sheds water so far; reflective fabric for safety.
Cons: very heavy and warm; collar/top of zipper is very stiff and uncomfortable (like to the point that I can't stand to zip it all the way up); the magnetic flap thing in the back is kind of annoying.

Probably wouldn't buy again, but it isn't terrible.

The jacket fits as described and I like the bright color for cycling. The rain gear I have purchased over several years continue to be of the highest quality. The response to questions with the Shower's Pass company personnel is outstanding.

I'm very happy with the quality of this newly purchaced Transit rain jacket. The jacket fits great .. The size was just as the reviews had said and I can still layer, if needed .. Just add rain!

my only wish was that it came with a hood.

I had the transit pants, which unfortunately are too big, but I had already ordered the jacket to match before I realized it. I was going to return the jacket since I no longer have a full set, however I absolutely fell in love with the jacket. I wear it hiking and mountain biking. It is not just great for rainy days but also windy, cold days. It has just the right amount of insulation to keep from overheating while keeping the core just right regardless of the temp. I love it!

I originally ordered a large as I am a 10-12 US in most sizes, but ended up exchanging for a Medium that fits perfectly. I have XL pants that are way too big, so I would recommend the same size bottoms if you are getting both pieces.

Honing in on the right size for Showers Pass jackets proved to be a bit tricky. I first tried an XXL of a different jacket, the Syncline, which fit perfectly but I decided to go with the Transit jacket instead, and ordered the same size. But the transit XXL WAS huge, had to replace it with one size smaller (XL), which fits great—except the sleeves are simian-length on me. But the velcro tabs on the sleeves keep them cinched where I want them. The fabric feels substantial and doesn't have a plastic-y feel, water repellency is very good. The study taped pocket zippers are great too. I don't miss having a hood since I wear a very good rain helmet cover. I opted for the Yelling Yellow color as I want to be very visible on dark and gray rainy roads, and it is a nice deep shade of school-bus yellow. After searching for months and trying various cycling rain jackets, I'm quite pleased with the Transit.

I do love this jacket, but prefer the elite hi-vis jacket w/its larger breast pocket (my phone doesn't fit in this pocket) & its back pocket. This jacket has 2 side pockets & contents bump against my thigh as I ride. Elite is the preferred design for me, but I'll use this one too.

Everything is great about Showers pass rain jackets, except for one change I wish didn't happen. That is the substantial decrease in reflective detail.

Amazing cycling jackets and customer service (thank you, Evan).

This is a great jacket! I had been getting by with an oversized mens jacket in yellow for bicycling in the rain, but so glad an xxl was available in womens in the blue. If I were commuting at night I would want yellow for maximum visibility on my bike, but the blue color makes it a rain coat I am also enjoying wearing around town without my bike. Nice ample fit for layering underneath if needed but feels light-weight, perfect length, and waterproof.

I ordered the smallest size but came out huge! Women's Small should not be like this. Had to return it.
Really hope this jacket would come with XS as the other models do.

Love this jacket. Have been wearing it while biking in Toronto Canada over the holidays. The weather hovers around freezing or just below at this time of the year. With a good base layer i have been very comfortable. Great fit and features. I'm sure this jacket will serve me well for years to come!

This jacket is just perfect for riding in the cool wet west coast weather. The fit allows for layers underneath depending on the weather. I've looked for a long time and very happy to have found a jacket that is perfect for me.

Little big. Better than MEC.

I live on the west coast and bought this jacket to wear in fall/winter when it's dark and rainy. So far it has been perfect for the weather here, though I find it needs a warm layer underneath when the temp gets close to freezing. The waterproofing is good but still breathable. And I've had a lot of compliments on the style - it looks sort of like a motorcycle jacket but with the benefit of the reflective strips.

Great jacket in fit and sleeve length. I wear it everyday in my commute.
One bummer no hood 😂

I was able to put my jacket to the test for three days in a row commuting during a rainfall warning in Vancouver. I arrived to work dry as a bone. I was so impressed I have now purchased the waterproof pants, and a jacket for my husband. The jacket was breathable. I like that the reflective details are placed so I can wear a backpack and not hide them. I ordered my usual size. It's a little big, but in winter I want the option to layer, so it's fine.

We had our first day of storm season and I decided it was a good time to try out the jacket.

I was 100% dry from the rain, and the jacket breathability kept me dry from my sweat. I had the same amount of sweat compared to when I'd cycle with just a technical top.

Because you can adjust the width of the cuffs, the arm length wasn't an issue (I'm 5'2, got a medium, and arm length was fine for me) since it'll stay tightly in place.

I felt very visible and the jacket didn't feel intrusive. The fit allows for room to wear a sweater under for winter riding, but not overly loose that wearing a tshirt under would make you feel like you're wearing a paperbag.

Am really happy with the jacket! Worth the money.
